Lithosphere creates software that fosters a better understanding of patent protection. One of our tools can be used to guard against overly broad patents. We do this by bringing patent claims into focus. Our approach allows you to focus on claimed features in patents to evalulate related technologies. By adjusting the focus to claimed features, you gain a better understanding of related technologies and the scope of patent protection for patents you own, or oppose.

We offer a cloud-based platform for total control over your patent contentions. The platform organizes your prior art analysis on a reference by reference basis. Using your analysis, the platform creates invalidity charts and invalidity contentions. If a prior art reference is added, removed or the analysis changes, the system populates every change throughout your contentions. You have dynamic control over the content of your invalidity charts and invalidity contentions.

Our platform was designed to reflect the way we typically think about patent claims - short, descriptive phrases that represent dense claim language. This allows you to think about the prior art in the same way; using short, descriptive phrases. We also wanted to eliminate the monotonous efforts involved with creating and changing invalidity charts for substantially similar claims.

Following these design philosophies, the software organizes your team's analysis and merges it all together to focus your contentions. To use this platform, you don't have to download any software or software updates. The cloud-based solution provides you with up-to-date software. Using an internet connection, each case team member has continuous access to the case data from any location in the world. Leveraging a cloud environment, you can now monitor, store, collaborate, and retrieve your case information in the same way you discuss case merits and patent claims. By using our cloud platform to organize and generate your contentions, you can minimize inefficiencies in your patent litigation workflow.
